Go-Jek Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Nadiem Makarim, said he was happy for the Go-Jek driver because the motorcycle ban passed along Jalan MH Thamrin to Jalan Merdeka Barat, Central Jakarta, would be revoked.
“I just heard that (from Vice Governor of DKI Jakarta Sandiaga Uno), just heard, if I am happier to our driver if it happens,” said Nadiem when met at Go-Food Festival in Pasaraya Square Blok M, Jakarta, Tuesday (9/1/2018).
Nadiem further said he was happy for the drivers of Go-Jek. Because, during this time the driver difficult to take orders along the road.
“So, I am very happy for the driver who used to serve customers there,” he said.
Previously, Sandiaga who attended the Go-Food Festival in Pasaraya Square Blok M said he saw the number of business actors affected by the ban on motorcycles around 400 thousand UMKM.
“I and Mr. Anies see, there are about 400 thousand small businesses, micro businesses, all over Jakarta affected by policies that do not bring a sense of justice in Jakarta,” said Sandiaga.
Sandiaga also said earlier he and Anies tried to think of the idea for the revision of motorcycle ban along Jalan MH Thamrin-Merdeka Barat.
“But it has not been a week since the Supreme Court has decreed its decision to be revised immediately and the Jakarta Provincial Government is fined Rp 1 million,” he said.

The reason, the Supreme Court (MA) has received a request from Yuliansyah Hamid and Diki Iskandar regarding Jakarta Governor Regulation No. 195 of 2014 on Motor Traffic Restrictions.
Thus, the Supreme Court annulled Pergub Number 195 of 2014 made during the leadership of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or Ahok as the Governor of DKI Jakarta.
“To grant the petition for the judicial review of the petitioners of Yuliansyah Hamid, Diki Iskandar,” said the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Irfan Fachruddin, as quoted in the copy of the Supreme Court ruling, quoted by News Liputan6.com, on Tuesday (8/1/2018).
In addition to canceling the Pergub, the Supreme Court also punish the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta to pay the cost of the case. “Punishing the Respondent to pay a case fee of Rp 1,000,000,” Irfan said.
