KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Head of the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) Bambang Prihartono said that until now there are only 4,000 online taxi drivers in Jabodebek that comply with the rules regarding online taxis.
These rules are contained in the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 108 of 2017 concerning the Implementation of People Transportation with Public Motor Vehicles Not in Route.
In the regulation, it regulates the operation of online taxis, such as having obligations such as General SIM A, KIR Test or stickers.
From the points of the rule, the obligation of the KIR Test which is mostly followed by online taxi drivers.
“Right now only 4 thousands have obeyed. There are many who do the KIR test, up to tens of thousands,” Bambang said when met in Tebet, South Jakarta, Tuesday (6/26).
Bambang revealed that his side continues to strive for online taxis to follow the rules so that they are free from odd-even policies.
It is planned that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will provide special stickers to taxis online so that online taxi cars can still pass.
“Later, the sticker will be labeled. Waiting for permission from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, this will be gradual. There is also an odd number even made by DKI (DKI Jakarta Provincial Government),” said Bambang.
Then for the online taxi quota, there are still advantages, but it will be pursued according to the provisions of 36,000 units.
“It seems that exceeding the quota, I don’t really memorize it. But later applicators must comply with the number of fleets that may operate according to PM 108 in 2017, “said Bambang.
