BANGKAPOS.COM, BANGKA – The income of a driver based online in Pangkalpinang is not as smooth as expected.

Instead they cannot afford to pay for car loans because the passengers are quiet.

Plus, many are currently joining as online taxi drivers.

This was revealed by Johan (37), an online taxi driver who lives in the Taman Sari Area, Pangkalpinang City, Thursday (02/07/2019).

He claimed his car, was pulled by an automotive finance company or leasing because it was unable to pay credit installments.

The father of four children said that online taxi drivers are his main job earning a living.

He works every Monday to Saturday, starting at 7:30 to 23:00.

Johan claimed to have come home without carrying a penny.

“I have never received orders for several times, so I do not bring money back and forth at all,” said Johan.

In addition, many people in Pangkalpinang already have private vehicles.

Johan said, the reduced income was also caused by the ineffectiveness of incentives.

The incentive is valid only every 3 months from the first online taxi exit.

“In the past, it was good to open, there was an incentive of Rp 400,000 per month. So we are targeted to get 16 passengers a day. “It was easy to get passengers, but now because there are already many online taxi drivers joining, it might be eliminated,” he said.

Men who spend about one year joining online taxis admit that at least a day can only carry three passengers.

The average income is approximately Rp 100,000, depending on the route of travel.

The owner of this straight hair claims many joys and sorrows of being an online taxi driver.

“If the grief is sometimes there is a different ordering of meeting points with reality. There is also a fad also asking for a shuttle, when there is no one. “If there is a favor, there will be a fee of Rp. 20 thousand, given Rp. 30 thousand, when booking the arrival point is far away,” he said.

Same is the case with Dodi (30), an online taxi driver who lives in Selindung.

He claimed his income was sometimes not worth the expenditure.

“This is a car as well as credit, so the income must be divided by paying car loans, as well as gasoline,” said this thin man.
