JAKARTA – A Go-Jek driver named Siswanto (47) became the victim of a raging taxi driver who was near the TVRI building Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (22/3/2016). Go-Jek driver numbered B 6154 VJR police claimed to be intercepted and beaten by a number of taxi drivers while passing through the area.

“I run out between passengers, right through here directly intercepted and beaten,” said Siswanto in front of the TVRI building, Senayan, Jakarta.

As a result of beatings done by the taxi drivers, Siswanto’s face bruised and bleeding in the face.

According to Kompas.com monitoring, the incident occurred at around 12:20 pm. The police immediately secured Siswanto so that he did not suffer more severe injuries

Currently, Siswanto immediately secured by the police to undergo maintenance and so do not be a month-monthly taxi drivers.

The Land Transport Driver Association (PPAD) along with the Public Communication Forum of Public Transport (FK-MPAU) will file a claim regarding the existence of an online transport service company that is still free to operate.

The drivers also asked Kemenkominfo to freeze the operations of transport companies using black-plated vehicles, such as Uber and Grab.

Today’s protest will take place from 9 am to 5:30 pm with an estimated number of demonstrators as many as 8,000 people. The action will be centered in front of MPR / DPR Building, Istana Negara, and Gedung Kemenkominfo Jakarta.
