Merdeka.com – Grab, an on-demand transportation service provider platform signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding the development of Jakarta MRT ticket payment services and first mile last mile transportation for Jakarta MRT users. The signing was conducted by William Sabandar, President Director of PT MRT Jakarta and Ridzki Kramadibrata, Managing Director of Grab Indonesia.
According to Ridzki, this collaboration is the first step to support the creation of a modern and integrated transportation system. The strategic partnership that was launched today with PT MRT Jakarta, claimed to be increasingly emphasizing the magnitude of Grab’s role in providing transportation modes.

He continued, the Memorandum of Understanding included several points of cooperation including the cooperation scheme of first mile last mile connectivity for Jakarta MRT and Grab Indonesia customers, the Jakarta MRT ticket sales scheme, the scheme for using electronic money as a payment method, and proof of concept development integrated with mobile payment where Grab Indonesia is currently working with OVO to form an open and comprehensive payment platform.
