JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Managing Director of Grab Indonesia Ridzki Kramadibrata explained, his party is currently coordinating with the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) and the police regarding the planned odd-even expansion ahead of the 2018 Asian Games.
“We are working on and continuing to communicate with the authorities to resolve this problem,” Ridzki told the media crew, in the Kuningan, South Jakarta area on Thursday (05/24/2018).
It is currently seeking an online taxi or special rental transportation that has been legally authorized to pass in odd-even areas.
Thus, online taxi drivers do not have to worry about their income declining.
“Special rental transportation that has officially joined and fulfilled the legality requirements is included in public public transportation as well. Therefore, in principle it should be able to enter into odd-even areas,” he said.
It hopes to soon find a bright spot with the government.
“Indeed, there is a part of the law that must be adjusted and currently we are actively communicating about it. Pray that in the near future we will get the results,” Ridzki said.
The expansion of the restricted area of vehicles with odd-even systems during the 2018 Asian Games is held as follows:
- S Parman Road – Jalan Gatot Subroto – Jalan MT Haryono – DI Panjaitan – Jalan Ahmad Yani – to Simpang Coca Cola or Perintis Kemerdekaan, Cempaka Putih, Central Jakarta.
- Pondok Indah Arterial Road or on the Kartini intersection road to Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.
- Along the Jalan Rasuna Said section in South Jakarta.
- Section of Jalan Bunyamin Sueb, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
Head of Sub-Directorate of Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Budiyanto said that odd-even regional expansion was carried out so that security, safety, order and smooth traffic during the Asian Games would be well maintained.
The odd-even implementation in a number of new regions will begin in the fourth week of July 2018.
