Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia- Grab, the largest ride sharing application in Southeast Asia, is officially available at Radin Inten II Airport, Lampung. Currently Grab is still waiting for the right time for the launch ceremony at Radin Inten
“Still not launched, still waiting for the right time,” said Public Relations Manager Grab Andre Sebastian, told CNBC Indonesia, Friday (03/05/2019).
Even though it hasn’t been launched yet, he ensures that Grab can be used at Raden Inten airport. Grab will also continue to expand cooperation with other airports to provide maximum service.
Grab was present at Radin Inten II Airport since April 22, 2019, and has a special shelter to pick up and drop off passengers. The Grab Airport booth is at the airport exit
Lampung is the seventh city Grab is officially present at the airport. Grab recently operated at Sultan Aji International Airport Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan, Balikpapan, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport, Juanda International Airport, Hasanuddin International Airport, Kualanamu International Airport, and Husein Sastranegara International Airport.
Based on Grab’s internal data, the airport is one of the most favorite pick-up points for tourists visiting Indonesia. Throughout 2018, Grab noted that there were more than 2.7 million trips using both GrabCar and GrabBike services to six international airports.
Meanwhile, Grab bookings from the six airports to various destinations reached more than 500 thousand trips. The high number of orders to and from various airports shows that Grab is the main intermodal transportation facility that provides practical and efficient options for users of air transport services.
