Jakarta Ministry of Transportation through the Directorate General of Land Transport requested the local government immediately finalize the calculation of online tax quotas that will operate in its territory. This is ahead of the full implementation of Ministerial Regulation No. 108 of 2017 on the Implementation of Transport of People With Public Motor Vehicles Not In the Route that governs the Transport of Special Leases.
“The problem of online vehicles has long been socialized, ranging from KIR, SIM, KP (supervision card), stickers, and quotas,” said Director General of Land Transportation Budi Setiyadi in Jakarta, Tuesday (9/1/2018).
There are currently eight provinces that make quota calculations. It also encourages the regulation to be set for each province.
It is targeted at the end of January 2018 that the whole province has resolved so that its regulation will soon come out.
“Once it has been calculated, in February 2018 its law enforcement will begin through the Police,” added Budi.
In the first and second week, there will be a sympathetic rebuke to a special lease vehicle that is not yet in compliance with the regulations. After two weeks the law enforcement will be handed over to the authorities.
With regard to vehicle restrictions or quotas, Budi explained, drivers should follow the rules well.
“For example in Semarang to decide 100 vehicles, so that the rest will become illegal if still operate it,” he asserted.
Budi further states that the government accommodates two shuttles ie taxis that have been around for a long time and the current taxis.
“Application development is a necessity, I also appreciate East Java which has launched a sticker on the lease especially,” he said.
Minister of Transportation Give Time 3 Months Online Transport Driver Change SIM
Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi requires all taxi drivers online to upgrade their Driver’s License (A) to SIM A General. The government gave three months to perform the obligations.
“We love the deadline of three months from 1 November 2017, we will execute,” said Budi when reviewing the SIM in SIM Satpas Ditlantas Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, Saturday (11/11/2017).
The obligation, continued Budi, has been regulated in the Regulation of the Minister of Transportation (Permenhub) Number 108 Year 2017 on the Implementation of Transport People With Public Motor Vehicles Not In Trajectory.
“We urge all public transport to have a driver’s license, if small it is common if big B1 is common, public B2,” he said.
He claims, the obligation gets a positive response from all taxi entrepreneurs both based on online and conventional applications. There are at least 400 drivers who take the SIM upgrade test today.
“It must be more sophisticated than me, so do not be afraid, and the cost is cheap, only Rp 120 thousand (increase SIM A to A Umum), and extend only Rp 80 thousand,” said Budi.
Budi asserted, it will not tolerate taxi drivers online that proved to have no SIM A General.
He gave until the end of January 2018 for the taxi drivers online in order to upgrade their driver’s license.
“The sanctions should not be circulated, because this is a law, yes it is enough for two years we give tolerance, which will come let us uphold discipline,” he asserted.
