Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has not received tariff proposals from regions related to online taxi operations.

Operation taxi online itself is regulated in Regulation of the Minister of Transportation (Permenhub) 26 Year 2017 set on April 1, 2017 as revised Permenhub 32 Year 2016 on the Implementation of Transport of People with Public Motor Vehicles Not in the Route.

Director General of Land Transportation Kemenhub Pudji Hartanto said, there is a transitional period for 3 months related to the determination of the upper and lower limit rates. So also related to the imposition of taxes, quotas, use of vehicle registration.

“So the 26 PM is 3 months for vehicle registration, tariff, quota, tax 3 months means later on July 1,” he told, as written Thursday (20/4/2017).

Related tariffs, he said, are waiting for proposals from the region. After receiving the proposal, only the upper and lower limit rates were decided.

“The process is not yet, (Jakarta) is not yet, they are in process, the same quota knows the area,” he said.

Quoted from, Permenhub 26 of 2017 is valid since it was set on April 1, 2017 by containing 11 revision points. However, there are some substances that require a transitional period in its application.

Of the 11 points of revision, 4 points were applied directly on 1 April 2017 namely (1) determination online transport (2) engine cylinder capacity requirement of at least 1,000 CC, (3) requirement of having a vehicle storage, and (4) ownership or cooperation with a vehicle maintenance workshop.

While for periodic testing (KIR) of vehicles, stickers, and provision of digital access dashboard transition period is given 2 months after 1 April 2017 or 1 June 2017.

As for the enforcement of upper and lower limit rate limits, quotas, taxes, and the use of names on vehicle registration, the transition period is given for 3 months for its enforcement.
