TEMPO.CO, Bogor – The Cooperative of Duta Jasa Angkutan Mandiri (KODJARI) held a handover of modern City Transportation to the Bogor City and Regency Governments Saturday, September 8, 2018. The Angkot will soon be operational by the end of this month.

The modern angkot handover was carried out by the head of KODJARI, Dewi, to the Mayor of Bogor Dr. Bima Arya Sugiarto. Modern public transportation is claimed to be able to compete with other online transportation such as Grab and Gojek.

“By modernizing services such as the availability of Air Conditioning (AC) to TV, it is expected that passengers will be comfortable while at the same time able to provide cheap transportation modes,” Dewi said during a press conference.

Dewi claims that this modern city transportation in Bogor will have cheap and competitive rates. “We have determined that the upper tariff limit is IDR 7 thousand and we also seek synergy with several banks so that payments can be made cashless.

Cashless or non-cash payments can make the tariff cheaper to IDR 4 thousand. So that it is expected that many of the passengers will be interested in using City Transportation.

For the initial phase until the end of September 2018, KODJARI has prepared 26 units of modern public transportation and at the beginning of the year there are 120 units targeted, and by June 2019 200 units are targeted.

“Essentially, this modern city transportation will be a pilot project to become a comfortable, safe city transportation supported by trained drivers who are of course in uniform and identity. Also as a means for companies to advertise, “said Dewi.
