Transportation issuer PT Express Transindo Utama Tbk. plans to hold an online-based transportation application next year to maintain revenue achievement.
Bisnis.com, JAKARTA – Transportation issuer PT Express Transindo Utama Tbk. plans to hold an online-based transportation application next year to maintain revenue achievement.
Director of Express Transindo Utama, Megawati Affan, said that the company will collaborate with a technology company and work with one of the online transportation applications to create better performance. The plan was designed because the market share of these TAXI-coded issuers was further eroded in line with tight competition and declining corporate earnings.
“We will have cooperation with one of the online applications, it is still a secret. Just wait next year. At least [with this cooperation] our income next year will be the same as this year,” he said on Friday (12/28/2018).
As of September 2018, TAXI posted revenue of Rp.187.01 billion, down 19.25% from Rp.231.62 billion in the same period the previous year.
Another way that TAXI does is to reduce the pool to seven pools in 2019. In fact, the company previously had 32 pools in 2017 and 15 pools this year.
Megawati stressed that the reduction in the number of pools does not necessarily reduce the number of the company’s fleet.
TAXI also reduces non-productive shelter and the number of Human Resources (HR). Next year, the company will again cut employees from 1,000 employees in 2018 to 500 employees.
“As long as we can cut the cost, we will cut it. Because, the current income is not as big as the previous year. Next year, we expect an increase in income, but at least this year,” he said.
