TRIBUNNWS.COM, JAKARTA – Reza Indra, an online taxi driver, was the victim of a stoning action carried out by FO alias BK (20) and JK alias RK, in the Palmerah area, West Jakarta.
Both of them pretended to order victims’ services to carry out blasphemy. Initially, the victim received orders from the perpetrators to be transferred to the Tomang area, West Jakarta.
However, after being in the car, on the way the perpetrator asked to be escorted to the Bamboo City area by reason of wanting to say goodbye to parents.
“When on the way, precisely on Andong Street, Kota Bambu Selatan, Palmerah, West Jakarta, suddenly one of the perpetrators pulled out a machete and pointed it at the victim to injure the victim’s chin,” said Police Chief of Palmerah Kompol Aryono, Saturday (26 / 5/2018).
Not only that, the perpetrators threatened the victim, then forcibly requested money by seizing the bag in front of him. A cellphone and one powerbank belonging to the victim were also taken.
“So their mode is to order taxis online. After seeing the opportunity, the two perpetrators then launched their action by pointing the victim using a machete, “he continued.
Shortly after the incident, the victim immediately reported the matter to Palmerah Police. Found the report, the police immediately investigated the whereabouts of the two perpetrators.
“We managed to capture FO players in their rented places, while JK managed to escape and is still in the process of being pursued by members in the field,” explained Aryono.
For his actions, the perpetrator snared article 365 of the Criminal Code concerning theft by violence. While online taxi drivers are asked to be more careful in accepting orders.
