PALEMBANG – Hengki Sulaiman (20), one of four perpetrators of robbery and murder of online taxi driver Tri Widyantoro (40) was shot dead by the South Sumatra Regional Police (Sumatran) Jatanras apparatus.
Hengki was shot dead during his flight in Brebes Regency, Central Java, Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Last evening, the bodies of the perpetrators had been taken to the corpse pemaharaan installation of Bhayangkara Hospital, Palembang.
The South Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Zulkarnain Adinegara said, the whereabouts of the perpetrators were known after the police monitored the perpetrators’ social media accounts. At that time, the officer saw a photo post in a house. In addition, the perpetrators also uploaded photos in front of a page until finally their existence was tracked.
When we tracked, it turned out that the source of the photo was in Brebes. The team immediately moved to get there, “said Zulkarnain Adinegara, when holding a case at the Bhayangkara Hospital in Palembang, Friday (04/13/2018).
Zulkarnain said, while at the location, his members were confused. Because, the perpetrator Hengki at that time changed his name to Hendrik, so that the local residents did not know. However, with a photo of the suspect, the officer finally found the whereabouts of the perpetrator.
However, the perpetrators who knew the arrival of officers immediately tried to run away so the officers were forced to release a bullet that was lodged right on the perpetrator’s chest. “The perpetrator was shot in the left chest. He tried to run away even though he had been given a warning shot,” he concluded.
