A taxi driver online in Gowa District, South Sulawesi, was caught by the police when they were about to rape the passengers.

The incident happened at Tun Abdul Razak Street, Sombaopu Sub-district, Gowa District, South Sulawesi, on Friday (14/7/2017) at 22.30 Wita, when a number of Pathor Motor (Patmor) Sabhara Polres Gowa patrol personnel.

They saw a minibus parked by the side of the road. At that moment, two hands were seen struggling while banging the glass window of the online taxi from within the car.

“Members are on routine patrols and there are cars parked in lonely areas after being questioned. There are women raging in the car about to be raped,” said AKP Al Habsy, Head of Satuan Sabhara Unit of Gowa Police, confirmed on Saturday (15 / 7/2017).

On this occasion, the police then secured the victim, a girl with the initials S (16) and the perpetrator to Mapolres Gowa to undergo the examination.

At the police station it was revealed that the victim was an online taxi passenger who had previously been traveling with his colleagues from Jalan Ratulangi, Makassar. The victim is the last passenger.

When passing on Jalan Tun Abdul Razak, Gowa District, the perpetrator, IL (19),parked the vehicle numbered police DD 1302 SK that he took on the roadside. He immediately took action to rape the victim.

“I am from Mari (Mall Ratu Indah) same friends but I am the last passenger,” said S.

Until now, the perpetrators are still undergoing inspection at Mapolres Gowa. Perpetrators are threatened with layered articles including the Child Protection Act with the punishment of at least 15 years in prison.
