KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The revision of the Road Traffic and Transportation Law (LLAJ Bill) can be a derivative regulation for the Minister of Transportation Regulation (Permenhub) which regulates application-based transportation (online taxis).
At present the Ministry of Transportation (Ministry of Transportation) is making Permenhub regarding application-based transportation. The rule is considered not to have a parent rule because it has not been regulated in Law no. 22 of 2009 concerning LLAJ currently in force.
“We see, because this is new, the current Minister of Transportation has no law governing why we are making this law,” Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Commission V Anton Suratto told Kontan co.id after receiving a draft from the House Expertise Board on Tuesday (4 / 9).
Permenhub on online taxis will need to adjust to the LLAJ Bill. It was intended to synchronize the rules made by the government. “We don’t want Permenhub to overlap later,” explained Anton.
Just so you know, before there was a decision of the Constitutional Court (MK) related to online transportation. Requests for taxi based on online applications were rejected by the MK.
In addition, the Constitutional Court also rejected requests that motorbikes be included as public motorized vehicles. The Constitutional Court’s decision became the basis for the LLAJ Bill.
