Merdeka.com – The Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) has implemented new rules regarding online taxis starting yesterday, namely June 18, 2019. The rules are contained in Minister of Transportation Regulation (PM) No. 118 of 2018.
In the regulation, it must take care of special rental transportation permits that are subject to fees as state revenues rather than regional taxes or levies. Imposition of PNBP costs worth IDR 5 million.
Director of Road Transportation of the Directorate General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation, Ahmad Yani, explained that the Ministry of Transportation would propose a revision of the rules for Non-Tax State Revenues (PNBP) to the Ministry of Finance.
According to Yani, the planned revision of the PNBP rule aims to provide online taxi rental special permit (ASK) fees to make it cheaper.
“Because the licensing is still under the Ministry of Transportation, we adhere to the cost of Non-Tax State Revenues (PNBP) in Government Regulation (PP) number 15 of 2016 concerning Types and Rates for PNBP Types. But we have proposed to revise the PP, “He said in Jakarta on Wednesday (6/19/2019).
He explained, the revision of the PP was important in responding to PNBP costs which were considered high enough for individual drivers and MSMEs, especially in the Jabodetabek area.
Meanwhile, based on Government Regulation number 15 of 2016 concerning Types and Tariffs for Types of PNBP Applicable to the Ministry of Transportation, it is stated that PNBP costs for business entities are set at IDR 5 million.
“If every 5 years every company has to extend that amounting to IDR 5 million indeed, later for our UMKM it will be lower. So we are currently revising it to IDR 1.5 million,” he said.
“We have submitted the stages of its revision at the financial bureau later to the Ministry of Finance, it will be discussed again,” he concluded.
