The Ministry of Transportation was forced to change some points in the Ministerial Unity No. 26 of 2017 after being annulled by the Supreme Court.

General Manager of South East Asia Uber, Chan Park, responded to the online transport regulations that had changed the contents.

According to him, whatever the contents of the Uber party is very pro with the protection of consumers and partners. In general, the company’s online transport application provider said it still wants to work with the government to make the right regulations.

The minister’s rule is to regulate the Implementation of the Transport of People With Public Motor Vehicles Not In Tracek. The regulation was subsequently replaced by No. 108 of 2017.

“I strongly agree with consumer protection. I also strongly support the protection of driver partners. So in general we’ve agreed to with the government that the ride-sharing is good, “Park said when asked CNNIndonesia.com in Djakarta Theater, Wednesday (13/12).

Park continued that there were some points he did not understand about the regulations in the regulation, but did not mention in detail.

“I’m not going to comment in detail but we want to keep talking to them and that’s what matters most,” he continued.

More specifically about the so-called cheap price for partners, Uber calls it the most tricky part of the matter.

Therefore, companies and governments should be able to balance the needs of customers and partners.

“That is the trickiest part because if it makes the price too cheap pity his partner. If somewhat elevated pity consumers. For that need to be balanced, “close the man who replaced while Alan Jiang as the leader of this Uber Indonesia.

Meanwhile, the 26/2017 PM itself was introduced by the Ministry of Transportation from 1 November 2017. One of the points rejected by the Supreme Court is that the upper and lower base rates re-emerged in the regulation. This tariff is criticized too low.

However, until now, the tariff is still not updated so it still uses the tariffs that are determined before. For region I, the upper limit rate is Rp 6,000 per kilometer (km) and the lower limit is Rp 3,000 per km. Meanwhile, for region II, the upper limit of Rp 6,500 per km, and Rp 3,700 per km as the lower limit. (asa)

(asa)
