Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Online transportation booking service Go-Jek is reportedly talking about potential cooperation with a giant Singaporean taxi company, ComfortDelGro.
The Business Times wrote the two companies were discussing steps related to potential cooperation between the two, according to a technology media website Techcrunch which cited two anonymous sources.
The two companies declined to comment on the news and said they did not comment on rumors or speculation, quoted Wednesday (04/26/2018).
ComfortDelGro had previously agreed to work with the online transportation applicator from the United States (U.S.), Uber, to acquire a majority stake in Lion City Rentals, a fleet of private car rentals owned by Uber in Singapore.
The agreement includes exclusive rights for ComfortDelGro to use the Uber application for its drivers.
The agreement is now in an uncertain situation following Uber’s decision to stop its business in Southeast Asia after selling it to Grab.
